Law Of Attraction

lawofattractionI first heard of the law of attraction several years ago by watching the movie the secret.  I didn’t pay too much attention to it at the time but I knew I should re-visit it at some point as it sparked curiosity.  Since then I have heard of it many times through various forms of social media.  There are several things that I have tried to test the theory.  It does work, but I have not been as diligent in making it work in my life as much as I could.  Trapped in the ego for most of my life, existing habits make it hard to create new habits that benefit my life.  In writing this I hope to start making a more conscious effort to change my habits in regards to the law of attraction.

Basics
We are creators of our own reality for the most part.  We are all co-creators of our reality as some say.  When we experience a certain emotion, the brain and various cells throughout the body produce the corresponding pep-tide. The receiving cells then make physiological changes in relation to the specific pep-tide received.  The cells then become more receptive to whatever emotion they are programmed with.  There is more to this but for now we are just going to stick to the basics.  The major emotions such as love, fear, anger, and joy when experienced then cause the Universe to respond to you because you are attracting what you are feeling.  If you continuously feel a certain way it then amplifies the Universes response.  We can change our feelings by changing our thoughts.  Of course this is easier said than done but it can be done.  You just have to be aware of your thoughts and replace the bad thoughts with good ones.  This requires practice of course.

Vibration
Law-of-Attraction-quotesThere is some truth to the “good vibes” mantras.  If you are in high vibration or surround your self with people who have good vibes then you are going to feel good.  When you feel good you are going to attract even more good stuff in your life.  And it goes along with gratitude and optimism.  You can create even more awesomeness when you are grateful for what you have.  If you believe good things are going to happen to you then most likely the good things will come through for you.  If you believe that everything is going to fall apart around you then it probably will.  Your vibration is what will come back to you.  What you put out into the Universe is what the Universe will return to you.  Life is a spiral remember..  :)

I don’t pray
One example for me in the law of attraction is prayer.  I was once Christian and I prayed like I was supposed to.  The biggest thing I prayed for was health and it seemed that my families health never improved especially mine.  Once I stopped praying for things, life got better.  My health improved and my kids were healthier too.  The reason for this is that when you pray you are telling the Universe that you are lacking something.  When the Universe hears this, what is it going to respond with?  It is going to give you more lack of whatever it is that you just prayed for, especially if it is every day on a consistent basis.  What is the opposite of prayer?  Gratitude for what you have and the knowing and even the feeling that you will have what you want in life.  Some light is shed on hypochondriacs when we think of our thoughts causing things to happen.  It is not only that they think they are going to have a health problem, they actually do get it because the thought turned into reality because of the law of attraction.

Another example
A while back when I started Positive Business Directory I would wake up in the morning and usually when in the shower I would say something like PBD is going to do good today.  I did this for several days on end.  I would then be surprised that something amazing happened.  It was like the Universe had responded and I was very grateful.  It was miraculous to me at the time.  Now I know that miraculous things can happen all the time because I am in the right frame of mind.  Connections are being made, things are happening as I expect, and I am not worried about things falling apart as I once was.

The heart
Here comes the good ole heart again..  When you live life coming from your heart it is hard not to be successful in life.  From the heart we get the feelings and emotions that are of the highest vibrations.  The mind or ego lives in survival mode and is going to try and sabotage your plans by telling you they won’t work, your not good enough, judgments from others start a thought process that can cause fear and anxiety, and fear can turn into hate and anger.  The mind will tell you to take the safe route, and ultimately you will not live life to its fullest potential.  So you just have to realize that the mind is doing this and you can change your thought process.  Listen to your heart!  When you take care of yourself your heart is full of love and joy which then raises your vibration which then does what?  The Universe will respond in amazing ways.  Enjoy!  I just want to also say that the mind is not all bad.  It is good for logical things and planning.  When the heart and mind are working together with their individual strengths combined great things can happen.

We have heard of affirmations and good intentions but I believe in order to take full advantage of the law of attraction we need to be consistent which I am not doing enough of these days.  What I plan to do is write down a few goals for myself.  Every morning I will be grateful for what I have and I will say what will happen within the next month or so.  I think that visualizations and being creative at this point is important.  If you can visualize your self after you have achieved your goal and even feel what it is going to feel like you are putting that out into the Universe and guess what, it will happen!  Throw in some confidence and knowing that you are worthy and you have a recipe for success and happiness in whatever your heart desires.
