One of my favorite mantras is the following: “The universe is perfect, everything is as it should be”
I kind of came up with that on my own. There are different variations to it out there. To some that may sound a bit off considering all of the bad things that happen in the world. “How could God let that happen” they say. “Oh it must be the devil” they say. That is the view of someone that believes that reality is about opposing sides. When good and bad exist in the same space. When in fact we are all one. We all came from the same source.
Things happen for a reason
All of us are on different journeys. We are all experiencing reality a little differently but it isn’t just for no reason. Everything that happens is for a reason. I believe that before we were born we chose a path which would assist in our soul growth. Some believe we keep being born into the same situation until we do the one thing that breaks the cycle, the one thing our soul is asking of us. Whether we choose to listen or not there will be situations we can’t shake until we face them head on and deal with it. This may not be true for everyone. For example someone may be born into a life where they have everything, everything is easy, and to the outside world they have it made. But there is always something to learn and grow from. Some are here for entirely different reasons, perhaps to help those that are struggling. We all have our helpers or angels, whether they are seen or unseen, good or bad, they are there directing us in the right direction. When something bad happens just know that for whatever reason it was meant to happen so that someone can grow from it.
The complexity is miraculous
If you start to think about how everything is intertwined and working for the greater good it is astounding really. How people’s lives cross paths at just the right time. How the timing of the way things happen is truly amazing. When I look back at my life, I see some turmoil, peace, ups and downs, good times and bad times. I see choices that I have made that may seem odd to some, but in the long run everything happened just the way it was meant to. I have no regrets because without the events taking place in my life like they did I would not be here where I am today. I am grateful for my life and love how it is unfolding.
Why the Universe exists
My theory on why the universe is here in the first place is something I have developed over quite a few years. Some of it I have heard and other parts of it I feel just makes sense to me. Imagine you are God or the creator.. Let’s say the creator wants to have an experience. How would the creator have that experience? How would we have an experience we wanted to have? We would go out and do it, we may put on a headset and see something on a screen, or just sit and experience what is. I believe God created the universe but God created the universe out of itself. Put itself into the universe in order to experience it. Everything is God essentially, because the Universe had to have come from something. God is pure love, and pure love cannot be dualistic. This is one of the reasons why bad things happen, because it was meant to be experienced because it does not exist where the creator exists. Every one of us plays a key role in helping the Universe expand, or experience itself. What if experience was what expanded the Universe?
To conclude each one of us has a piece of God within us. We are divine and capable of far more than what we have been told or have learned in our society. I have another mantra that I made up. It goes like this: “I exist for the simple action of expanding the Universe. Everything I experience is for a reason, good or bad, my worth is priceless”.
I am getting into the practice of saying Namaste, not only because I do Yoga, but because I resonate with the meaning of it. Translated roughly, it means “I bow to the God within you”, or “The Spirit within me salutes the Spirit in you” – a knowing that we are all made from the same One Divine Consciousness.
Until the next post, Namaste!
